Tutorial 1- Raisabet (Sorceress 4) part two
----------------------------------
Part 5- Where did you get that dress?
With the background basically in, I start roughing in the dress, using the same color scheme as the blue Mucha piece. I'm working mainly on suggesting where the shadows will be and not rendering them, but I am keeping them in mind. I also start to bring in some of the foreground.

Part 6- Let's Face It
Starting at the head I start to render the face and dress. Emphasis is on texture at this point, but I am keeping light and shadow in mind still. Also, since I want her to contrast out from the background somewhat, I'm using higher saturations then I did rendering the background.

...and render the dress some more
|
|
...and some more. Once the dress is looking good, I flip the image horizontally to check for problems. (Old artists trick. Often I'll keep working flipped for a while to let my eyes adjust to the reverse appearance, then when I flip back, it has the same benefit as the first flip.)

|
Step 7- Underfoot
Then it's time to render the foreground and tighten the midground elements, including the flowers.
